We were approached by Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards to create this years promotional trailer for the live event based on the concept "Games Come Alive". Working together we set out to create a surreal journey through an ominous scene as the world glitches into revealing the conscious generative constructs that make up the underlying environment.

Us by Night is a design event in Antwerp that took place in the end of November of 2017. The event took place during 3 nights and was packed with a total of 65 contributors ( talks, panel-discussion, tutorials and workshops )
Us By Night titles was an experimental film completely based on procedural workflows, predefined DNA was set and essentially grew the animation without any further human interaction. The entire film is one continues shot of a growing superstructure that unfolds seamlessly and acts as a backdrop for the title cards. It’s continues growth and evolution is representative of personal growth and the shaping of ideas but also it offers a sense of discovery. The animation is of generative nature and is procedurally built, meaning that thousands of unique versions of this animation could be created by just a flip of a switch.

Algorithmic Architecture.
We created a base algorithmic structure that served as a blueprint for each form and movement in the film. The CGI architectural structures were covered in high‑resolution photographic textures and embellished using a custom‑designed system that controls the foliage, architectural details, and other nuances. The result is a monolithic structure of massive scale and incredible detail.
I was working as part of the in-house team at ManvsMachine as Technial Director. I designed a lot of systems that made up a majority of the superstructures in this film. I did texturing, lighting and helped out on the compositing.

Nike Global commissioned ManvsMachine to create a cinematic piece that would communicate the 'Infinite Possibilities' of Flyknit for the 2016 Innovation Summit.
